Footprints in the sand, gone as quickly as were formed.
Pressed in by the weight of life's burdens;
Washed away by the constant tide of God's grace.
Each wave washing what's past away;
Making each step new.
After churning the sands of our lives,
Each comes, precious and in perfect time.
Rolling in upon our silvery shores;
Sparkling only by the grains of His glory within us.
Each silver grain reflecting the flow of His grace all sufficient,
Sifting us, covering us, preparing the way before us:
God's continuous waves of grace.
